Ferries run from Venice every half hour, and the trip time to Burano is about 45 minutes.
You may want to get a 12 hour or longer ferry ticket as this will likely be less expensive in the
long run. You can check at any ferry ticket window. almost every agent speaks english as well as other
languages.
Lace making is still done in Burano and the real hand made lace can be somewhat expensive. You will
see many inexpensive pieces of lace, however they are usually machine made and imported.
